The Ballad of Mary Ann Brownlow
The Ballad of Mary Ann Brownlow is the true story of a woman hanged in Goulburn in 1854 for the murder of her husband. As she languished in Goulburn Gaol, heavily pregnant with her third child, townsfolk rallied for her reprieve. This play was performed at the Lieder Theatre in 2004, 2005, and as part of an ACT Region tour in 2008. Co-written with the late John Spicer.
